Lawyer

Katja Ziehe

After completing my law studies in Munich, I initially worked in various international commercial companies in Germany to gain a broader professional “field of vision”.
Looking beyond my legal horizons has been an important experience that still gives me an open-minded view of each case and a good understanding of economic interrelationships.

I have been working as a lawyer and mediator in Switzerland for almost 20 years now and have my own practice since 2004. I always focus on the various people’s narratives (behind the file), whether it is about separation, divorce, child support, a marriage contract, a property law calculation, a custody dispute, or a non-marital partnership’s economic dissolution.

As a Certified Specialist SBA Family Law, I have a sound knowledge of this area in law, which I keep up to date through regular training. Thanks to a broad network of colleagues in Europe and North America, I can always obtain legal information from other countries at short notice, if necessary.

My many years of experience have taught me that there are usually several paths to any goal. The choice of path in each case depends on the person’s concerns and his/her specific circumstances. I can assist clients in different ways: as a counselling lawyer, as a negotiator, as a mediator, as a litigator or as a collaborative lawyer.

We can find out which role I can best serve to help you in a joint discussion.
